I went to school to be Software Developer and Web Designer. Ultimately I am a people person who loves the world of technology. I earned a technical diploma in Front End Design and an Associates in IT Web and Software Development. I am now a sophomore with a seniors amount of credits...at UWM in the process of earning my BA in Information Science and Techology. I really enjoy the art of CSS and having so many techniques available to craft the best visual experience. I also find value in the programming side of the technology industry, and want to get in to database management, software development or data science. I find UI/UX research and design very intruiging and I feel those concepts can enhance web development in a wholistic way. I currently work as a level two technician at the UWM help desk.
Promoted to Level 2 in January 2023. I contribute to the UWM community by solving their various technical issues, whether it be something in depth or simple. Keeping proper documentation and good communication is key. As a level 2 technician, I train the new hires, do further research on tricky problems, monitor the queue and contact clients, and follow security protocol to verify identity to modify accounts and help clients regain access. The level two helps out with anything the level one technician either don't know how to troubleshoot, or doesn’t have the security clearance to update their account on the back end. We also can use a screen sharing program called Beyond Trust to effectively help clients who may not be confident with technology and have difficulty explaining what they are seeing. I use patience and empathy when communicating with my team and encourage the newer employees to have the same energy and drive I have. I also keep in contact with clients to solve more long-term issues. The users I support are the faculty members, professors, students, and parents of students at UWM. In my spare time at work, I help the leads update the knowledge base by ensuring accuracy and trying out the steps myself on both Windows and Mac to see if the applications and menus have been updated. I am consistently in the top 5 most diligent and efficient workers on my team.

The MKE Tech Coalition has a 10-week summer program focused on the Ethics and Impact of Artificial Intelligence. I was to attend weekly meetings and complete assignments while under the guidance of professional mentors, as well as take on a leadership role and design a working prototype for group project.
I am pursuing a BA to further my studies in information and technology. The world of information excigtes me and I love learning how we cah use technology to make information more meaningful.
I am pursuing a BA to further my studies in Computer Science. Currently I am learning about Object Oriented Programming best practices using JAVA by making a card dealing app that implements an Array List.
I earned an associate’s focusing on OOP, databases, algorithms, as well as front end JS programming. We use NetBeans or VS for the IDE most times and practiced building programs and websites in JS, JAVA, SQL, and C++. Here I also earned a technical diploma in Front End Web Design which had to do with responsive design, HTML+CSS and UI/UX design and research. These were my favorite classes.
